Zoya - Shivon

Zoya Shivon + Bundle Monster BM-314
Zoya Shivon + Bundle Monster BM-314
Shivon is one of the first polishes I ordered online; this means it's one of my oldest nail polishes. Call me crazy, but I never felt like I hád to try it. Till today! Isn't it beautiful? The gold shimmer in this berry/burgundy shade is so intense.. it blew my mind. The formula was good. Two coats looked ok, but I ended up applying three to intensify the base colour. I added the lovely swirly stamp with Bundle Monster plate BM-314 and China Glaze - 2030.

Teeez Boudoir Secrets Collection

Today I'm showing you a couple of nail polishes from the new Boudoir Secrets collection from Teeez.
"This elegant make-up collection is decorated with unique vintage charms that makes each product a treasure on its own, disguising the bold secrets inside. Because underneath the abundance hides a rebellious diva, like the 18th century queen of France Marie Antionette, who was passionate for the pleasures in life."
Teeez - Cool (04) is a light blue shade with a subtle silver shimmer. I really like the colour, but it was difficult to apply due to the thick formula. I swatched it twice 'cause it looked awful the first time (and I think every polish deserves a decent swatch), but I'm still not happy with how it looks on my nails, bummer! This is three coats.

Teeez - Gutsy (05) is a peachy nude coloured polish with gold shimmer. I can't say I'm a fan of this colour, but it applied much easier than Cool. Two coats.

Teeez - Femme Fatale (09) is a berry creme. Ahh, saved the best for last! This one is gorgeous and it applied like butter in two coats.

To be honest, I'm not blown away by these nail polishes. Next to the unique shades Teeez made in the past, these three don't look so special. The packaging is cute though. :) Oh, but what's up with the names? I already own shades from Teeez called Cool and Femme Fatale. This can be somewhat confusing, I wish they gave them new names and not just a different number.

Teeez nail polishes cost €4,90 for 8,5 ml. They're Big 3 Free. You can find more information on their website.

Berry Fowl Play

Yesterday I covered my nails with Just Berried from Catrice. It's not the first time I'm wearing this berry coloured creme polish; that means I like it a lot! But sometimes you just feel the urge to add something, so this morning I looked through my Helmer for inspiration. And there it was: Fowl Play. Oh and ah! I almost forgot I owned this stunner from Orly. I decided to use it for some accent nails and well, I love how this looks! Can't wait to wear Fowl Play on all nails though. It's a miracle of a polish... :L

Thanks for watching and enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Sparkly Berry

I have a short post for you today, because I have a terrible headache. xo

I'm wearing a berry coloured creme from Catrice, called Just Berried! Two coats, smooth application. To spice things up I sponged the tips with Zoya - Faye. I love these golden sparkly tips!

Colour Block Inspired Nails

Colour blocking (combining blocks/areas of different solid colours) is one of the trends for spring / summer 2011. I've seen a lot of pictures from fashion shows with the most beautiful colour combinations. That must look awesome on nails too, so I decided to make colour block inspired nails. You can keep it simple and make skittles (painting each nail in a different colour), but for some real colour blocking you can use different colours on one nail, for example by making funky french tips. I'm not sure what to think of the french tips I did, doesn't it look a bit too ehh.. funky? :i The fun part is that you can use whatever colours you want, but don't be shy, the bigger the contrast the better!
The nail polishes I used (the 1st picture is the most colour accurate btw):
green: OPI - Jade Is The New Black
berry: Catrice - Just Berried!
blue: Catrice - Blue Cara Ciao
orange: Essence - Andy, You're A Star

Thanks for watching and hey.. a big welcome to all my new followers! :D

China Glaze - Cowgirl Up

Since using the fantastic Rodeo Fanatic from China Glaze, it was clear to me: I háve to try more polishes from the Rodeo Diva collection. The one I'm showing you today, Cowgirl Up, is in my possession a while now, I sorta forgot about it *blushes*. But now it'll get the love it deserves! What a fantabulous shade, a dark berry colour with a gorgeous shimmer. In sunlight pretty reddish and blurple sparkles show up. I also love that it's darker around the edges of the nail with a pop of colour in the middle. The application was ok, a bit runny, but the pigmentation is good. This is two coats plus topcoat.
And a bonus pic of the blooming orchid we have standing. Perfection doesn't exist, but this flower gets pretty close... love it!

Catherine Arley #677

I can't believe I ordered so much Catherine Arley polishes, when will it end? :o ;)

This is #677 (and I just have to say it: I'm hating these polishes for having a stupid number instead of a fancy name.. ). I would describe it as a berry red polish with - no surprise - prismatic particles in it. This one has a subtle scattered prismatic effect. It's very sparkly and I love the colour! #677 applied  like butter and is nice and pigmented, this is two coats without topcoat. I had to be careful to not cut myself with this bottle, it was the only damaged one from my order. :|

I'll make a comparison post with OPI DS Extravagance!

Orly - Razzle

Here is the first oldie I found searching through my nail pictures, Orly - Razzle. I loved this colour on my nails, they looked like juicy berries! There are also tiny glitter particles visible, very pretty. Application was great, 2 coats.

After one day of wear I stamped an image on my ringfinger. I used imageplate M74 (great plate!) and Konad Special Polish in White. I also placed small dots of a silver polish in the flowers.
