Cirque - Galinda

a england Dorian Gray + Cirque Galinda
I updated Dorian Gray with Galinda from the brand Cirque. Galinda has a clear base with small and medium pearly white glitter and tiny sparkly prismatic particles. So lovely! The formula of Galinda was great, I applied two coats over Dorian Gray.

Later I added a layer of matte top coat, because well.. a mattified glitter mani never disappoints! My nails look kinda frosted. Cool. :)

Galinda is part of Cirque's newest collection called Objet d'Art and is available on the Cirque website.

Pink & Delicate

Pink & Delicate with BM-306 (matte)
Although I loved the design, my last stamped mani was a bit too heavy for my taste. The subtle stamped nails I'm showing you today are more my style. I used another great pattern from the new Bundle Monster plate set. I started with three coats of Catrice - Miss Piggy Reloaded and one coat of OPI - Princesses Rule!. For the stamped design I used plate BM-306 and Konad's Special Nail Polish in White. I finished with a layer of matte top coat. I really like the result, it's so delicate and lovely. ♥

Iron Studs

Orly Iron Butterfly + Essence Got a Secret + stud rhinestones
Orly Iron Butterfly + Essence Got a Secret + stud rhinestones
How cool are these steel grey stud rhinestones from BornPrettyStore.com? It's nice to wear something different than clear rhinestones! For this mani I applied two coats of Orly - Iron Butterfly on most nails and Essence - Got a Secret on some accent nails. I wanted a complete matte look so I also applied a matte top coat over Got a Secret. Then I added the stud rhinestones. I recommend applying a layer of top coat to seal the studs or you'll lose them within a couple of hours.

B.O #63 Crystal Purple Pink

B.O 63 BornPrettyStore
Recently I received a glitter polish from BornPrettyStore.com. It's #63 from the brand B.O (you can find it here). This polish has a clear base with multiple sized hexagonal glitter pieces. The hexes are duo chromatic, they look mostly fuchsia but shift to a blueish purple when viewed at a different angle... super gorgeous!
China Glaze Flying Dragon + B.O 63
China Glaze Flying Dragon + B.O 63
#63 has a thick formula, it took me some effort to get a nice amount of glitter on the nail and to get those pretty big ones out. I layered one coat of #63 over Flying Dragon from China Glaze. Flying Dragon is a red-leaning purple neon with tiny blue and pink glitter. It was hard to photograph, I colour corrected the third picture to show you how it looks in real life. The B.O glitter combines really well with Flying Dragon, I like it a lot!

BornPrettyStore.com kindly offers a 10% off code for my lovely readers! :D The code is B10X31.

Metallic V French

a england Order of the Garter + v french tips with China Glaze Millennium
Order of the Garter is such a beautiful polish, I can't remove it just yet. But why not add something to it? For the v-shaped french tips I used China Glaze - Millennium. As you can see I also applied a layer of matte top coat. Doesn't Order of the Garter look even more stunning mattified?

Copper'ize Me Caught On The Red Carpet

Today I want to show you a super cool new glitter topper from Essence called Copper'ize Me! Its clear base is filled with small copper coloured glitter and medium-sized multi-coloured glitter. I applied one coat over two coats of Catrice - Caught On The Red Carpet. My camera couldn't pick up the right colour, COTRC looks more blue-toned and deeper in real life. But.. I'm posting this to show you how awesome the glitterzz are! I love how the copper glitter peeks through and how it twinkles with the glossy finish. Copper'ize Me! is a stunner, matte ánd glossy!

Thanks for watching and have a good Easter weekend!

Windmillion Glitter Sandwich

Today I'm showing you glitter sandwich nails (polish-glitter-polish). I started with applying two coats of Thanks a Windmillion from OPI and one coat of Essence - Blair. Blair needs some thinner, all the glitter was clumping together, argh! But still, an awesome glitter polish.. I think I need a backup bottle. ♥ To complete the sandwich I added one coat of China Glaze - Innocence. The result was a bit lumpy after that, so I decided to use a layer of matte top coat. I kinda like how this looks, but I don't think I'll keep it on my nails for more than a day. Let's say it was a nice experiment. ^_^

Color Club - Get A Clue: Stamped & Mattified

After swatching and wearing all those prismatic nail polishes I was in the mood for something different. The base colour I used for this mani is Color Club - Get A Clue, a beautiful light pink creme. My camera makes pinks like these look more blue-toned than they actually are, this is a true pink. I needed three coats for a smooth and even surface. I added some subtle stamping with bundle monster plate BM-201 and Millennium from China Glaze. To make my nails look (and feel) even softer I applied a layer of matte top coat from Essence. I love mattified metallic stamping!

Red On Black

I love combining red and black, so why not use both colours on my nails? I started with applying one coat of Camelot from a england and let it dry. Then I taped of the sides and applied Kleancolor - Bite Me, a wonderful red glitter polish. After removing the tape I used a matte top coat. I like how it looks subtle and edgy at the same time. 8)
The glossy version looks nice too, but I'm hooked on matte glitter nails.

Enchanted & Addicted

Blue Addicted from Essence finally found the way to my nails. Isn't it insanely pretty? This is one coat over a forest green creme (Orly - Enchanted Forest). And as you can see I also applied a layer of matte top coat, 'cause I think there's nothing hotter than mattified glitter nails. Blue Addicted could use some thinner, but other than that: great job with this one, Essence! :tup

Ashes & Fire

Yesterday I went to a Ryan Adams concert with my hubby. Even though Ryan had food poisoning (tweet after the show: 'Harmonica part on firecracker = almost puked' :~ ) he managed to give a fantastic show. I enjoyed every minute of it! The name and look of his new album Ashes & Fire inspired me to do this mani. The base colour is Iron Butterfly from Orly and I used Zoya - Rica and Gosh - Rainbow to create 'fiery' tips.

Chunked Shawn

Hmm, I think my nails never looked this weird. Two coats of Zoya - Shawn, one coat of Kleancolor - Chunky Holo Black and a layer of matte top coat (I'm loving the matte texture these days!). I kinda like this mani in all its weirdness.. Tell me, what do you think?

Thanks for watching, enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Black & Gold

There are many ways to spice up black nails; this time I decided to add some stamping. I used China Glaze - 2030 and a floral design from Konad plate M73. I wondered how it would look matte, so I also applied one coat of Essence's matte top coat. I like this mani so much! The matte finish makes it look so, uhm.. interesting? ;)

Bright Stripes

A couple of days ago I received a package from Born Pretty Store. One of the products in this package was metallic black striping tape ($1,73). You can use the striping tape for a metallic accent on the nail, but in this post you'll not see the actual striping tape on my nails.
I started with three coats of China Glaze - Pool Party, a super bright pink neon. Neons are impossible to photograph, so imagine Pool Party being much brighter and pinker in real life. Then I placed some pieces of the striping tape on my ring finger nail, applied one layer of Romeo from Essence and removed the tape. It's as easy as that, the striping tape is perfect for this. I finished the mani by applying a layer of matte topcoat from Essence. Doesn't it look cool? I think it does! :)

Zoya - Faye (mattified)

This is how Faye looks after applying a layer of matte topcoat (from Diamond Cosmetics). Mattified sparkly and glittery nail polishes can look so soft and interesting and Faye is no exception. But don't you miss the gorgeous sparkle? That's the thing I like the most about this polish, so I prefer my Faye glossy. :)

Zoya - Veruschka

Green lovers, it's time to drool! Right now I'm wearing Zoya - Veruschka, a shimmery dark green matte. Veruschka was one of the first polishes I tried from the brand Zoya and I can recall being impressed. And I still am. I always like how Veruschka looks matte (not dull at all!), but everytime I wear it I end up applying topcoat, it's obvious why, right? :) That shimmer is crazy beautiful!
The application was great, especially for a matte polish. It doesn't dry too fast so there's enough time to apply even layers without streaks. I used two coats.

Zoya - Phoebe + first time tape!

New collections from Zoya always get me very excited, for this summer the brand came out with three (!) new collections (Sunshine, Summertime & Mod Matte). Right now I'm wearing a polish from the Mod Matte collection, Phoebe. This is how Zoya describes this nail polish:

Bright azure with fine electric blue and violet shimmer with a velvety matte finish. The matte finish amplifies the bright color; this is a matte that positively glows.

I have a hard time finding the violet shimmer, but other than that: perfect description.  Phoebe reminds me of the sea - oh, I mean the Caribbean Sea, the sea around here has an awful colour. It's a very pretty polish, matte polishes can look dull, but not Phoebe, I love the velvety finish. The first picture shows how it looks shiny and matte (ring fingernail).

The formula wasn't that great, thick, gloopy and not very pigmented. So you have to be careful (to avoid streaks) and fast (it dries very quickly because it's a matte) at the same time when you're applying Phoebe. I got the most even result with thicker layers, I used three coats I believe.
As you can see I also had some fun with tape. :) I used two China Glaze polishes, Kiwi Cool-Ada and Millennium. These colours are awesome together, but I think it looks better without the silver stripes, they cover to much of that gorgeous neon green. But it was fun to do and I like the neat result you get with tape! What do you think?

China Glaze - Kiwi Cool-Ada

Aah, I can't believe how nice the weather is here, flip flop weather, I like! I love to wear neons right now, so I could of course show you Flip Flop Fantasy from China Glaze, matching the flip flops and all, but that's for another post. Today I'm showing you Kiwi Cool-Ada, from the same China Glaze collection. What a crazy colour, it's freakin' awesome! My pictures don't show all the awesomeness, in real life the colour is more intense and darker, but also brighter! This glowy green reminds me of kryptonite. You just have to see this nail polish in person, it'll knock your socks off. :D
shiny konad
Kiwi Cool-Ada is a neon, so it dries up matte. I wanted to see how it looks shiny so I added a layer of top coat, but I actually like it better with the matte finish. The application was not the easiest, this is three coats and four on some nails to get rid of bald spots. As you can see I also added some stamping, I used an image from imageplate M64 and China Glaze - Millennium as the stamping polish.

Thanks for watching and have a great Easter weekend!
