Sparkly Tips with Cirque - Book of Shadows & Cirque - XX

Sparkly Tips with Cirque Book of Shadows & Cirque XX
Sparkly Tips with Cirque Book of Shadows & Cirque XX
For this mani I used two amazing nail polishes from Cirque's Objet d'Art collection. I spiced up a three day old mani (two coats of Catrice - I Sea You!) with a crazy amount of sparkle on the tips. I sponged with Book of Shadows (silver/lavender foil) and dabbed the glitter from XX on top of it. XX is really impressive, don't you think? I adore the pastel look of the glitter particles. ♥

Book of Shadows and XX are available on the Cirque website for $13 a bottle.

Pastel Diagonal Gradient

Pastel Diagonal Gradient Nails with Flower Accent
Is it spring already? I'm sooo in the mood for pastel colours right now.. The base colour I'm wearing is Color Club - Secret Rendezvous (three coats). I wanted to combine this lilac beauty with another soft colour, so I used Eyeko - Vintage Polish to create a diagonal gradient. Lóve this combination! I made the flower accent with Konad plate m20 and Konad Special Nail Polish in White. I added a couple of dots with Cirque - Book of Shadows for a little bit of sparkle.

a england - Beauty Never Fails & a england - Holy Grail

a england Beauty Never Fails + a england Holy Grail
a england Beauty Never Fails + a england Holy Grail
I always get very excited when I find new nail polishes from a england in the mail! Today I'm wearing two new shades, Beauty Never Fails (a black base with gold and olive green coloured flecks) and the revamped version of Holy Grail (a mesmerizing gold coloured foil). I wanted to combine these two sparkly polishes on my nails and I think it turned out really well! The formula of Beauty Never Fails and Holy Grail is excellent; both polishes are easy to apply in two coats. I used tape to create the "V" shapes.

a england nail polishes are available on the a england website.

OPI - Number One Nemesis with Paisley Design

OPI Number One Nemesis + Essie School of Hard Rocks + Bundle Monster plate bm-315 and China Glaze 2030
One of the prettiest designs from Bundle Monster's new stamping plate set must be the paisley design from plate BM-315. I love it! At first I stamped this design with China Glaze - 2030 over three coats of Number One Nemesis from OPI (see picture below). I'm not crazy about the result, at most angles the paisley pattern wasn't very noticeable because of the sparkly base colour. So today I removed it and applied Number One Nemesis again with Essie - School of Hard Rocks on some accent nails. This time I used the paisley pattern only on the accent nails. Aah, much better!

Zoya - Valerie

indoors
sunlight
Yes, there she is: Zoya - Valerie. When I saw a swatch of this one it made my heart beat a little faster. A beautiful and lushious dark plummy purple. And like Sarah, from the same collection (Fire & Ice or Flame, whatever you like.. ^^), it has a lot of foily glitter in it, very sparkly. So mesmerizing in sunlight and also fabulous in low light. The pictures are clickable so you can see the sparkles in all their glory. As I mentioned in a previous post I'm not a big fan of golden/coppery colours. Although there is a lot of copper microglitter visible in the bottle, on the nail it's still there, but not so heavy and only at certain angles. Yay!

Well, it's a true beauty! I'm loving Zoya polishes, not only because of the colours, but the formula is good and their bottles are gorgeous. I applied two coats and a topcoat.

Zoya - Sarah

indoors
Today I painted my nails with Zoya - Sarah. It's one of the polishes from the Winter 2010 Fire and Ice collection (although the collection is renamed as 'Flame' on Zoya's website, don't know what that's about.. :brow , but let's talk about the polish!).

Sarah is a pinkish red packed with foily glitter, very sparkly and hot! In the bottle you can see coppery glitter (second bottle from the left), but the copper didn't show up that heavily on the nail (lucky me... as I'm not a big fan of coppery colours). I wonder how Zoya - Valerie will end up on the nail, that one has even more copper glitter in it, hmm.. we'll see!

The application was nice; Sarah is very pigmented, I needed two coats for full coverage.
