For this mani I used two stunning prismatic nail polishes from Cirque. These two colors combine really well! I started with applying two coats of Boudoir, a reddish purple, on my pinky and index fingernail and Vesuvius, a warm pink, on my ring and middle fingernail. I used a makeup sponge to create a gradient effect on the middle nails. I love this effect! The only thing is that it's a shame the lineair prismatic effect lost its strength by sponging it on (vertically). But I can't get over how gorgeous both nail polishes are! :L

Alcatraz...Rocks Knocked Off My Socks
Hi dear reader! I'm back from a wonderful vacation in Italy. I put on Alcatraz...Rocks from OPI on my nails before we left and I'm impressed. Not only is it a gorgeous polish, the wear time was excellent (excuse the regrowth, this was on day 11 after I did some filing).
Now it's time to sort out our vacation pictures... We loved the Amalfi Coast, the beautiful village you see below is Positano.
Thanks for watching!

Fascinating Flowers
I really, really enjoyed wearing this! I started with applying a england - Elaine on all nails. For the flowers I used a purple prismatic beauty from Cirque called Fascination Street with a dot of China Glaze - 2030 in the middle. I also applied two coats of Fascination Street on the rest of my nails. This polish is so stunning, love it.
I'm not sure if I'll be able to post before my husband and I go on vacation. We'll leave next week and be back in October. We're going to Naples, the Amalfi Coast (hope to visit Ischia or Capri, too!) and the Gargano peninsula on the east coast of Italy. I'm so excited! :D

a england - Sleeping Palace
I'm sure this smoky purple nail polish with prismatic sparkles is a treat for your eyes! I'm wearing one of a england's newest shades, Sleeping Palace. Sleeping Palace was super easy to apply with perfect coverage in two coats. It's a pigmented shade, so I used it for stamping on a couple of accent nails (base colour is a england - Guinevere). I'm obsessed with this design from Bundle Monster plate BM-313.. I have the feeling this is not the last time you're seeing it on my nails!
Sleeping Palace reminded me of Misty Blush from Layla Cosmetics. They're definitely not dupes, although the base colour is quite similar. The prismatic effect of Misty Blush is much stronger.
Thanks for watching! :)

Ruffian Manicure with Cirque - Hellebore
My first ruffian mani! The delicate green glitter polish you see is Cirque - Hellebore, another creation from Annie that blows my mind. ♥ I chose Parlez-vous OPI from OPI as the base colour because I think it matches well with the subtle purple sparkles in Hellebore. The formula of Hellebore was nice and thin, so it was easy to make these ruffian nails. I used two coats of both polishes.
Reminder: As you probably already know the end of Google Reader is near. Be sure to follow my blog on Bloglovin' to stay up to date with my posts. Thank you so much for following! :-)

Blue Green Ombre Nails with Shimmer Polish - Brooklyn
I'm wearing a lovely ombre manicure at the moment. I chose to use blue green colours and combined them with Brooklyn, a gorgeous Shimmer Polish. There's a lot going on in Brooklyn, but the predominant colour is blue green. I'm wearing three easy coats on my thumb nails and dabbed a little amount at the base of the rest of my nails. I can totally recommend the Shimmer Polish creations, they apply well, have great wear time and are obviously super blingy!
Shimmer Polish is available at Cindy's Etsy shop for $12 a bottle.

Glitter Gradient with Shimmer Polish - Gerry & Caroline
For this mani I used two spectacular nail polishes (three if I count in the base colour). I was wearing Indigo from Barry M for two days and decided it was the perfect base for Shimmer Polish - Gerry, a dark violet glitter polish with blue glitter and so much more. A stunner for sure! I applied two easy coats. I wanted to try a glitter gradient, so I also used Shimmer Polish - Caroline (grape purple glitter) just on the tips of my nails. The sparkle is out of this world, so pretty! You have to believe me if I say that the gradient is more visible in real life (purple is not the easiest colour to photograph). I needed two generous layers of top coat for smooth and glossy nails.
These Shimmer Polish shades are hot, aren't they? :L This brand is available at Cindy's Etsy store.

Quilted Purple
It's time for another cake-inspired-nails post! A so-called quilted cake was on my to-do list for ages and I finally decided my birthday was the perfect occasion to give it a go! The cake is covered with marzipan and the flower on the cake is made of fondant. It took me some practice and I have to say I'm kinda proud of it. ♥
About the nails: the medium purple I used on most nails is China Glaze - Spontaneous. The colour on the accent nail is Grape Pop, another purple beauty from China Glaze (both look less blue-toned in real life). After Grape Pop was completely dry I added a raster of striping tape. To achieve the gradient look I sponged the nail surface with Spontaneous and a england - Guinevere. I removed the tape, added a couple of silver dots and a thick layer of top coat. Aah, so pretty!

Icy Nails with Shimmer Polish - Jennifer
Recently I received a package from Cindy with breathtaking Shimmer Polish nail polishes. It was hard to choose which one to wear first.. they're all so pretty! I decided to go for Jennifer. I love it, it's super sparkly and the colours are beautiful! Last Friday we had our first snow this winter so I was in the mood for an 'icy' mani. I used three coats of HEMA #833, a pastel blue creme, and I applied Jennifer just on the nail tips. I really enjoy wearing this combination, even after three days!

Layla Hologram Effect - Misty Blush
Wowza, is that a rainbow explosion or what? ♥ In case you haven't heard: the prismatic polishes from Layla Cosmetics are the best! There is a great variety in base colours (16 shades) and the prismatic effect is just.. wow. I'm wearing two coats of Misty Blush over my beloved Aqua Base from Nfu Oh.

Subtle Stamped Elaine
I'm wearing a new favourite, Elaine from a england. I love wearing dark purples and Elaine is just perfect. Nicely pigmented and easy to apply, I used two coats. I added some subtle stamping with Konad plate m83 and Color Club - Wild At Heart. I wasn't expecting it to be thís subtle, but I like it anyway. It looks amazing in sunlight! ♥
Thanks for watching and enjoy your weekend!

Rainbow Candy Cane Nails
A rainbow candy cane, that's what this mani reminds me of.. just perfect for a sweet tooth like me! The base colour I used is OPI - My Boyfriend Scales Walls and the design is from Bundle Monster plate BM-301. I wanted a gradient look for the stamped lines, below you can find a little how-to.
1. Pick two colours and paint two stripes on the image. Leave some space between the stripes.
2. Swirl the colours together with a toothpick.
3. Grab a scraper and scrape the excess polish off.
4. Place the stamp on the design, check if it transferred well and roll it over the nail. Work fast or the polish will turn too dry to stamp with. Some parts of the design are missing on my stamp because I had to take pictures. ^_^

Cirque - Debris
Today I'm showing you a glitter polish from Cirque's Dark Horse collection. It's called Debris and it's awesome. Debris has a clear base with black and silver square and hex glitter and fine prismatic shimmer. I layered Debris over Zoya - Caitlin and I think they make a good pair! Caitlin doesn't look right in the first picture (too blue), but I wanted to show a glimpse of how pretty the prismatic shimmer looks in sunlight. ♥ The formula of Debris is nice, not too thick. The larger glitter parts tend to settle at the bottom, so I turned the bottle upside down before I started with my base colour. Worked like a charm, I had no trouble getting the larger ones out. This is one coat.

Sparkly Tips with Cirque - Ophelia
A smooth base and glittery tips.. this is my favourite way to wear glitter polishes, I love the contrast! For today's mani I applied two coats of Essence - Chuck (looks more blurple than blue in real life) and I sponged the tips with Ophelia from Cirque. Ophelia is such a lovely glitter polish, it has a clear base with periwinkle coloured hex glitter and pink and green shimmer. You'll need at least four coats if you want to wear it on its own so I recommend layering it over an opaque base. In the picture below you can see how one coat of Ophelia looks over a black and a blurple creme polish.
Ophelia is part of Cirque's Dark Horse collection. This handmade collection is available on the Cirque website and locally in New York at Annie's stand at Hester Street Fair. Prices range from $12 to $16 (13.2 ml).

Today I'm showing you Epoch from the brand Cirque. Epoch has a shimmery duochrome finish and shifts from dark teal to purple. It's a real stunner, I love it! Epoch was easy to apply and dried fast, I used three thin coats.

Recently I received a glitter polish from BornPrettyStore.com. It's #63 from the brand B.O (you can find it here). This polish has a clear base with multiple sized hexagonal glitter pieces. The hexes are duo chromatic, they look mostly fuchsia but shift to a blueish purple when viewed at a different angle... super gorgeous!
