Pupa - Holographic Light Green

Pupa Holographic Light Green
Pupa Holographic Light Green
Today I'm showing you another nail polish from Pupa's Holographic line, this is Holographic Light Green. It's beautiful and dreamy... the prismatic effect is to die for! I'm afraid I'm gonna end up buying the entire collection. :o This is two easy coats over Nfu Oh's Aqua Base, no top coat.

Cirque - Debris

Zoya Caitlin + Cirque Debris
Zoya Caitlin + Cirque Debris
Today I'm showing you a glitter polish from Cirque's Dark Horse collection. It's called Debris and it's awesome. Debris has a clear base with black and silver square and hex glitter and fine prismatic shimmer. I layered Debris over Zoya - Caitlin and I think they make a good pair! Caitlin doesn't look right in the first picture (too blue), but I wanted to show a glimpse of how pretty the prismatic shimmer looks in sunlight. ♥ The formula of Debris is nice, not too thick. The larger glitter parts tend to settle at the bottom, so I turned the bottle upside down before I started with my base colour. Worked like a charm, I had no trouble getting the larger ones out. This is one coat.

Pupa - Holographic Strawberry

Pupa Holographic Strawberry
Pupa Holographic Strawberry
Oh, how I wish strawberries would look like this! ^_^ At the moment I'm wearing Holographic Strawberry, one of the polishes from Pupa's limited edition Holographic line. It's a muted warm pink with a not so muted prismatic effect. Look how intense, I'm head over heels! It reminds me a bit of China Glaze - TMI (which I sadly do not own, but owning something like it makes me happy). The formula was ok, I applied two thin coats over Nfu Oh's Aqua Base.

I bought Holographic Strawberry for €6,25 at the Dutch webshop. Quite expensive for only 5 ml.. I can't believe how weak I am when it comes to prismatic nail polishes. :$

Gussied Up Green On Steroids

China Glaze Gussied Up Green + Speciallita Hera
China Glaze Gussied Up Green + Speciallita Hera
My 'inspiration' for this layering was this mani. Lately I love combining shimmery and prismatic nail polishes. I applied three coats of Gussied Up Green from China Glaze and one coat of Speciallità - Hera. Hera is really pretty on her own, but layered over a dark colour she's magical! :d

Forgotten Treasure

Essence It's Two Bright + Etos Effect Nails 008
A couple of days ago I was cleaning out my closet and found a box with old nail polishes. A bunch of sheer pinks and thickened frosts, but also this impressive little glitter polish (Effect Nails #008) from Etos (Dutch drugstore). The sheer blue base is filled with small and medium-sized prismatic hexes. SO pretty. For this mani I layered one coat over two coats of the blue side of Essence's Colour³ nail polish called It's Two Bright. I had a hard time capturing the glittery awesomesauce on the nail, but the bottle shot does show how beautiful the glitter looks in real life!

China Glaze Cowgirl Up + Speciallita Atena
China Glaze Cowgirl Up + Speciallita Atena
Oooh, just look at that! This is one coat of Speciallità - Atena over two coats of China Glaze - Cowgirl Up. A dreamy combination, isn't it? I'm in love. The red-purple glow from Cowgirl Up combined with the amazing prismatic sparkles from Atena.. it's almost too hot to handle! :L

a england - Princess Tears

a england Princess Tears
a england Princess Tears
I can totally see why this delicate polish is a england's gem of the month, it's a lovely shade for spring! Princess Tears is a lilac coloured polish with a strong lilac flash ánd an awesome and strong prismatic effect. At some angles it also flashes a subtle yellow-green, you can see a hint of it in my last picture. Princess Tears is kinda like Ascalon's lighter, lilac coloured sister! This polish has what we can call the typical a england formula: excellent. I used two coats, no top coat.

a england - Bridal Veil

a england Bridal Veil
a england Bridal Veil
If there's one nail polish 'colour' I totally adore, it's black. I can wear it all year round without getting bored. My favourite black is Camelot from a england's The Mythicals collection. So imagine the joy when I received another black nail polish from this wonderful brand. This is Bridal Veil from The Legend collection. It's a very pigmented black with a subtle prismatic shimmer. Love it! It applied like butter, this is two coats.

I made a little comparison for you with two other black polishes with prismatic shimmer. Out of these three I prefer Bridal Veil, 'cause it's super black and super pigmented.

The Legend collection is available now on the a england website.

Glittering Blue

I'd like you to meet Have An Ice Day, one of the stunning Million Styles Effect Top Coats from Catrice. This top coat has a clear base with tiny prismatic glitters. Ooh, sparklies! ♥ It looks a million times more awesome in real life, the sparkly effect is difficult to capture on a photograph. The bottle pic below came out pretty nice though. I'm wearing two coats of Have An Ice Day over Barry M - Cobalt Blue. The finish is slightly gritty, but a good layer of regular top coat will fix that.

a england - Princess Sabra

a england Princess Sabra
"Alluringly feline golden olive bronzite, the sacrificial Princess constantly shifts with her elusive, myriad hues."
a england Princess Sabra
I'm so happy the sun is out today! Now I can finally show you another stunner from a england's The Legend collection: Princess Sabra (pet name: Tristam Eyes). Golden olive bronzite... That is a perfect description if you ask me. What a magnificent nail polish! The formula was excellent, I used two coats (no top coat).

Sparkly P·I·N·K

I'm keeping it short, 'cause I'm not feeling well. On my nails I have Catrice - Aretha's R·E·S·P·I·N·K (what a name!). This picture is NOT colour accurate. To be honest, I hesitated to post it. But it's a cheery mani and I love it so it deserves a post. ^_^ In real life Aretha's R·E·S·P·I·N·K is not this light and bright, but a beautiful deep pink. The formula was nice, this is two coats. I also sponged a little bit of Milani - Digital on the tips for some sparkle.

Dragon of the Green Hills

ANNY Green Hills + a england Dragon + BM215
ANNY Green Hills + a england Dragon + BM215
I'm still wearing Green Hills from ANNY. The wear is exceptional, no chips or even tipwear after four days, that's how I like it! I can't get over how great this colour is and it turns out to be a perfect canvas for something even greater. The scale-like pattern is from Bundle Monster plate 215 and I couldn't think of a better polish to use for those scales than a england's Dragon. This could easily be my favourite stamped manicure ever! Dark, green, prismatic sparkles.. :L

My nails reminded me a bit of this little dragon iguana we spotted during our trip to Curaçao last summer. Isn't he cute?
Thanks for watching and enjoy your weekend!

a england - Ascalon

a england Ascalon
"Forged by magic and guided by our hero's sainted hand, the steely grey of his spire is alive with a swirling heart of lavender fire."
a england Ascalon
Today I'm showing you a england - Ascalon, another nail polish from The Legend collection. I think Ascalon is an incredibly cool nail polish, I already wore it twice in two weeks. Now that says something, believe me! Ascalon is a steel grey coloured polish with a good amount of prismatic particles. It also has a subtle duochrome effect; I mostly see a purple flash, but at certain angles there's a golden green colour visible. It's hard to photograph, but the green is definitely there! The formula was excellent, I used two coats.

a england - Dragon

a england Dragon
"Like sunlight glinting off his iridescent mossy green scales, the fearsome Dragon lays basking arrogantly, awaiting his due."
a england Dragon
Ahh, I love the nail polish descriptions on the a england website. And I love the nail polishes too. It's quite obvious why, I mean, look at this one.. look! It's Dragon from a england's The Legend collection. A collection that consists of not one, but two unique green nail polishes! This is a dream come true, thanks Adina. ♥ Dragon is not your regular green nail polish, I also see copper shimmers and a mesmerizing scattered prismatic effect on my nails. Put green pigments and prismatic particles in one bottle and I'm in love! The formula was nice and smooth, I used two coats.

a england - Saint George

source

You have no idea how excited I am about the new collection, called 'The Legend', from the brand a england. The story behind this collection appeals to me a lot, because Saint George is the patron saint of the city I live in. The city's oldest preserved seal dates back to the 14th century; this seal shows Saint George attacking the dragon to save princess Sabra (you can see her on the right). Fun to see, don't you think? Now it feels like this collection really comes to life!

Today I'm showing you Saint George. Wow, wow, wow! I love everything about it; the rich and deep colour, the prismatic sparkles, the formula... Perfection. It applied like butter, two easy coats for beautiful green nails. My new go-to polish for sure. Or am I too quick? I have more Legends lovelies to show you, can't wait to try them!

Speciallità - Hefesto & Recap Hits No Olimpo Collection

Let me first show you how magical Hefesto is. Hefesto is the prismatic top coat from Speciallità's Hits No Olimpo collection. I love this one, it's packed with prismatic particles! It's a top coat, so obviously it looks best if you apply it on top of another polish. This time I layered one coat over two coats of China Glaze - Bermuda Breakaway. Ohh, it's magic! ♥ This picture is taken in direct sunlight; in normal daylight Hefesto adds a silvery touch to the base colour.
I wondered how this layering would compare to (one of my all time favourites) OPI DS - Glamour. Here you can see Glamour on my ring finger nail and the layering with Hefesto on the other nails. There are differences, but I think this is pretty cool!

In the photo collage below you can see the entire Hits No Olimpo collection. Clockwise from the upper left corner: Dionísio, Hestia, Atena, Ares, Zeus, Artemis, Deméter, Poseidon, Afrodite, Apolo, Hermes, Hera & Hefesto in the middle.
I think Speciallità did a great job with this collection, look at all those wonderful colours.. Most of them have a super intense prismatic effect. I like! The formula on these was consistently good and so is the wear. I heard some people had problems with wonky and uneven brushes, but all my brushes were fine (other than a surprisingly big one in one bottle). I noticed they take some time to dry, so I recommend using a quick drying top coat. Please note that these nail polishes aren't Big 3 Free, they contain toluene and formaldehyde.

The Hits No Olimpo polishes cost around $4 (for 6 ml) at Speciallità. You can also get them for $10 at Llarowe.

I want to remind you that today is the last day you can enter my Speciallità giveaway! If you want to enter click →here←.

Speciallità - Apolo & Comparison

Well, what can I say..? Anóther stunner from Speciallità! Apolo is a deep, tealish blue coloured polish with a beautiful and strong rainbow effect. Just how I like it, Apolo rocks! The formula was good, I applied two coats, no top coat.
This is how Apolo looks next to Glamour from OPI's Designer Series. Both eyecatchers, but as you can see no dupes!

Coral & Orange: Speciallità - Afrodite & Deméter

Mmm, this pinky coral shade makes my mouth water. Speciallità - Afrodite reminds me of candies, yum! Don't worry, I'm not going to take a bite, but it sure looks delicious. Although the prismatic effect isn't very strong, I think it's still super pretty. An unexpected favourite! The formula was good, I used two coats.
And this is Speciallità - Deméter. An orange I would wear! Too bad my camera freaked out (I hate it when that happens, grr!) and made it look too orange and way too bright. It's actually a soft shade, more like Afrodite, and less yellow-toned than my picture shows. A very unusual nail polish, I like that! Nice formula, two coats.

Just a couple of days left to enter my Speciallità giveaway, don't forget to enter! :)

Pink & Blue: Speciallità Hestia & Poseidon

I hope you're not getting tired of seeing these prismatic polishes from Speciallità. I know I'll never get tired of them, in my opinion every single one is a masterpiece. Aren't these two soft shades stunning? A light pink and a light blue.. the Hits No Olimpo collection is really complete, so much fun colours! Hestia, the lilacy pink one, is a sweet and lovely shade and applies easily (three coats).
Poseidon has a knock-your-socks-off prismatic effect, the most intense of all the Hits no Olimpo polishes. This is also three easy coats.

These two beautiful shades plus eleven other nail polishes named after Olympian gods and goddesses are part of my giveaway prize, don't forget to enter!
