Mix & Match Mani with Flower Decal

mix & match manicure with blue flower water decal + China Glaze Dorothy Who?
I ordered some water decals a while ago on ebay and immediately fell in love with this blue flower design. I wanted to do some mixing and matching and I'm very happy with the result! Oh, and how beautiful is Dorothy Who? ♥

Fascinating Flowers

a england Elaine + Cirque Fascination Street (flower nail art)
a england Elaine + Cirque Fascination Street (flower nail art)
a england Elaine + Cirque Fascination Street (flower nail art)
I really, really enjoyed wearing this! I started with applying a england - Elaine on all nails. For the flowers I used a purple prismatic beauty from Cirque called Fascination Street with a dot of China Glaze - 2030 in the middle. I also applied two coats of Fascination Street on the rest of my nails. This polish is so stunning, love it.

I'm not sure if I'll be able to post before my husband and I go on vacation. We'll leave next week and be back in October. We're going to Naples, the Amalfi Coast (hope to visit Ischia or Capri, too!) and the Gargano peninsula on the east coast of Italy. I'm so excited! :D

Love Lapis

Cirque Lapis with taped triangles + square studs
Cirque Lapis with taped triangles + square studs
Today I'm showing you Lapis from Cirque. Blue, glittery and stun-ning! I'm so glad I have a blog where I can share epic nail polishes. Lapis is definitely epic. ♥ It was easy to apply, I'm wearing two coats (on most nails) over two coats of Gosh - Blue Balloon. I added the glittery and silver (China Glaze - Millennium) triangles by using striping tape. As the finishing touch I also added small square studs from Born Pretty Store. I'll be using those studs a lot, love them.

Curved Chevron & Shimmer Polish - Elsa

Curved Chevron & Shimmer Polish - Elsa
Curved Chevron & Shimmer Polish - Elsa
Oh, I love this mani! The colours, the combination of finishes and hey.. I see glitter. ♥ I used two coats of Essie - School of Hard Rocks and I added curved chevron tips with 2030 from China Glaze. On my ring finger nail I'm wearing Shimmer Polish - Elsa, a perfect match with gold, teal and red glitter. I can't get over how blingy and beautiful it is...

PS I'm sorry for posting so little lately. The eczema on my fingers keeps bugging me, most of the time it's not a pretty sight. :( I can't say the weather is very helpful, so I'm hoping a change of season (warmth, yes please!) will make it disappear.

Christmas Mix & Match Manicure

Christmas Mix & Match Manicure
I don't think I can express how much I love this Christmas mix and match manicure.. I had this idea in my head and it turned out better than I expected! The ingredients for this lovely combination: a juicy red colour, subtle stamping, a yummy candy cane design and I used Emerald Sparkle from China Glaze for the first time! Gotta love those little pops of green.

Zoya - Shivon

Zoya Shivon + Bundle Monster BM-314
Zoya Shivon + Bundle Monster BM-314
Shivon is one of the first polishes I ordered online; this means it's one of my oldest nail polishes. Call me crazy, but I never felt like I hád to try it. Till today! Isn't it beautiful? The gold shimmer in this berry/burgundy shade is so intense.. it blew my mind. The formula was good. Two coats looked ok, but I ended up applying three to intensify the base colour. I added the lovely swirly stamp with Bundle Monster plate BM-314 and China Glaze - 2030.

OPI - Number One Nemesis with Paisley Design

OPI Number One Nemesis + Essie School of Hard Rocks + Bundle Monster plate bm-315 and China Glaze 2030
One of the prettiest designs from Bundle Monster's new stamping plate set must be the paisley design from plate BM-315. I love it! At first I stamped this design with China Glaze - 2030 over three coats of Number One Nemesis from OPI (see picture below). I'm not crazy about the result, at most angles the paisley pattern wasn't very noticeable because of the sparkly base colour. So today I removed it and applied Number One Nemesis again with Essie - School of Hard Rocks on some accent nails. This time I used the paisley pattern only on the accent nails. Aah, much better!

Silver

China Glaze Millennium + Konad m59 + silver rhinestones
I don't have the words to express how much I love Millennium from China Glaze. This metallic silver wonder is one of my most used polishes. After applying two coats I stamped a bow from Konad plate m59 with Konad Special Nail Polish in White. Then I added a couple of silver rhinestones from Born Pretty Store. I really like the result, but after a while I lost a couple rhinestones. So I repainted my ring finger nail and added two coats of B.O #71, a silver glitter polish (also from Born Pretty Store). The formula is quite thick and I noticed a lot of bubbles after applying it, this one really needs some thinner. But other than that, nice polish. I think it looks great over Millennium!

Cirque - Dark Horse

Cirque Dark Horse over China Glaze Awaken with top coat
Cirque Dark Horse over China Glaze Awaken
For today's nails I used Dark Horse, a dark and mysterious nail polish from Cirque. At first I thought this polish had a black base with multi-coloured shimmer, but no.. Dark Horse's clear base is filled with small black glitter and rainbow sparkles. How amazing is that? I prefer layering glitter polishes over a non-glitter polish (makes the removal easier), so I used two coats of Dark Horse over China Glaze - Awaken. Dark Horse applies easily and dries gritty and kinda matte (second picture). You'll need at least two layers of top coat for a smooth and glossy finish. Normally I would go for smooth nails, but I'm surprised by how much I like this glittery polish without top coat!

Zoya Kelly with fishnet stamp (BM-310) and BornPrettyStore glitter
For today's mani I used these blingy hex glitters from BornPrettyStore.com. They are absolutely stunning, I can stare at them all day! The nail polish I'm wearing is Kelly from Zoya. I stamped the fishnet pattern with Bundle Monster plate BM-310 and China Glaze - Millennium on some accent nails, then I added the hex glitter.

Peacock Inspired Nails

Peacock inspired nails with gradient and stamping (BM_212)
Peacock inspired nails with gradient and stamping (BM-212)
I proudly present to you my peacock inspired nails! I've always been mesmerized by peacocks and I wanted to do something like this for ages. As you can see I jumped on the bandwagon with gradient nails (thanks for the awesome tutorial, Sammy!). I started with two coats of China Glaze - Holly-Day, then I sponged with Holly-Day, Bermuda Breakaway and Grape Pop (all China Glaze). The pretty pattern is from image plate BM-212 and I used 2030, álso from China Glaze, as the stamping polish. I added dots in the center of the stamped circles with Zoya - Ivanka, Zoya - Mimi and a mix of those two.

Metallic V French

a england Order of the Garter + v french tips with China Glaze Millennium
Order of the Garter is such a beautiful polish, I can't remove it just yet. But why not add something to it? For the v-shaped french tips I used China Glaze - Millennium. As you can see I also applied a layer of matte top coat. Doesn't Order of the Garter look even more stunning mattified?

Queen's Day Nails

Essence Andy You're a Star + BM-215
First of all: thanks for all the lovely comments on my last post. I knew you guys would like it as much as I did, lol! Today's Queen's Day, a national holiday in The Netherlands. Our national colour is orange, so orange nails it is! I can't say I'm a fan of orange, but hey.. once a year I can make an exception. :) I'm wearing two coats of Essence - Andy, You're a Star and for the crown I used China Glaze - 2030 and image plate BM-215. I also thought it would be nice to add a rhinestone for some bling.

Pastel Arches

Do you guys remember this mani? And this one? During spring I love wearing pastel colours, so this time I created a pastel version. I already had Did You 'ear About Van Gogh from OPI's Holland collection on my nails, a wonderful neutral shade with good wear time. For the arched tips I used OPI - Mod About You (pink), the minty colour is Thanks a Windmillion, also from OPI. To complete this mani I placed a couple of silver dots with Millennium from China Glaze and of course I applied a good layer of top coat. I'm really pleased with this combination! Pastel ♥

Color Club - Get A Clue: Stamped & Mattified

After swatching and wearing all those prismatic nail polishes I was in the mood for something different. The base colour I used for this mani is Color Club - Get A Clue, a beautiful light pink creme. My camera makes pinks like these look more blue-toned than they actually are, this is a true pink. I needed three coats for a smooth and even surface. I added some subtle stamping with bundle monster plate BM-201 and Millennium from China Glaze. To make my nails look (and feel) even softer I applied a layer of matte top coat from Essence. I love mattified metallic stamping!

Precious, Precious, Silver and Gold

Today I'm showing you the silver and gold polish from Speciallità's Hits No Olimpo collection. The silver one's called Artemis. Artemis has a metallic finish and is filled with fine prismatic particles. The prismatic effect is amazing! I'm probably saying that about all the Hits No Olimpo polishes. ;)
The gold one's called Hermes. This one also has a metallic finish and a gorgeous prismatic effect. I wish the sun wasn't so shy today so I could show you how awesome the prismatic effect of these really is. Maybe another time! I rarely wear silver or gold nail polish, but I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked these two on me. It looks like Artemis and Hermes totally won me over.

edit: Ahh, this looks more like it. Look at those sparklies! Thank you, sun. ^_^
The formula was good, two easy coats for both, no top coat.
