Pink Floral Water Marble

Pink Floral Water Marble Nail Art
Pink Floral Water Marble Nail Art
Water marbling... who hasn't struggled with it? My first water marble experiment was two years ago, all I can remember was the mess and the frustration. Time for some practice! I decided to go for watermarbled accent nails. You know how much I like accent nails and it saved me a lot of frustration (and nail polish). I marbled with a random white polish, OPI - Mod About You and Aretha's R·E·S·P·I·N·K from Catrice. As a finishing touch I added a couple of dots with white polish and China Glaze - Ahoy. The light pink polish I used on most nails is also Mod About You from OPI.

Metallic V French

a england Order of the Garter + v french tips with China Glaze Millennium
Order of the Garter is such a beautiful polish, I can't remove it just yet. But why not add something to it? For the v-shaped french tips I used China Glaze - Millennium. As you can see I also applied a layer of matte top coat. Doesn't Order of the Garter look even more stunning mattified?

a england - Order of the Garter

a england Order of the Garter
a england Order of the Garter
It seems like I'm in the mood for blue lately and this beautiful polish from a england satisfies my needs perfectly. ♥ Today I'm showing you the seventh and last shade from a england's The Legend collection. The name of this royal blue with lighter blue glass flecks is Order of the Garter. Man, I should wear glass flecked polishes more often, I totally forgot how pretty they are! The formula was nice, I applied three coats for full coverage. The second picture is the most colour accurate.

The Legend collection is available (with free worldwide shipping!) on the a england website.

Comparison: Teeez - Femme Fatale & China Glaze - Ruby Pumps

I told you earlier I was wondering how Teeez - Femme Fatale would look like next to one of the masterpieces from China Glaze, Ruby Pumps. First I want to point out that both colours look darker, deeper and more blue toned  in real life, with the first picture being the most colour accurate of the two.

Ok, let's compare these pretty reds: the base colour is very much alike, they apply well and are opaque in three coats. The biggest difference is what's floating in the base. Ruby Pumps is packed with rounded silver and red glitter, whereas Femme Fatale has little irregular shaped multicoloured flecks/flakes in it. What I really like about Femme Fatale is the violet flecks, they add a nice touch to the polish. But Ruby Pumps is more sparkly, love that too!

What can I say..? It's nice to find a nail polish that can compete with Ruby Pumps, I'm happy to have both. :)

I also want to use this post to thank my readers, all those sweet comments and emails give me a warm feeling and make me really happy. I can't believe I have so much followers, where do you all come from? :O How about a thank you giveaway when I hit the 500 mark..? Stay tuned!

Oh, and I added a FAQ page, check it out if you want.

Teeez - Femme Fatale

How hot is this?! Today I'm showing you Femme Fatale from the Teeez Diva's Darkness collection. Femme Fatale is a juicy red with golden and violet flecks floating in it. In real life it looks a bit more profound, the second picture is the most colour accurate. I can't believe how pretty it is! I definitely have to wear reds more often, they make me feel sexy *rawrr* :$. I wonder how this one will look next to Ruby Pumps from China Glaze. The formula was great. Two coats were fine, but you never know with the macro setting... So I applied three and a topcoat.

China Glaze - Ahoy!

I can imagine you're almost tired seeing polishes from the China Glaze Anchors Away collection, so thanks for hanging on! :D I decided to buy just one polish from the entire collection, Ahoy! I'll keep it short: raspberry coloured jellylike yummyliciousness (!) with golden glass flecks. Bright, intense and sparkly. A magnificent polish. Definitely a must have!

The application was fine, this is two coats plus topcoat.

World Inspired Colours by Herôme - Bogota

Today I have a nail polish on from Herôme, a Dutch hand and nail care brand. A while ago Herôme created a line of polishes inspired by the riches and colourfulness of the world. The name of this line: World Inspired Colours (W.I.C.) -you didn't saw that coming, ey? ;)-. They gave each polish the name of a city and this one is named after the capital of Colombia, Bogota. Bogota is a muted periwinkle coloured polish with rosy gold glass flecks in it. I don't know what Bogota (the city) has to do with periwinkle and goldish glass flecks, but I honestly don't care.. :O What's more important: I love glass flecked polishes and this one's no exception. They're so sparkly!
The application was ok. I bought this polish a year ago and it thickened a little, but after adding some drops of polish thinner (I finally found it!) you're good to go! This is two coats with top coat.
